Big Foot

Grady loves our mudroom, and drags all of our shoes all around the house. Lately he's been trying them on...he doesn't get very far in them, but it's fun to watch!

More fun in the snow!

A little snow, anyone?

We finally had our first snow day....and what a snow day it was! About 2 feet of the fluffy whiteness fell, burying our car and making for a super fun day! Laura was a great shoveler. (For a few minutes!)
Grady loves his sled, and Emily and Walker love to take him down the road in it.
Mom even got a little silly!
The neighborhood kiddos came over and dug out a cool tunnel!

Spring???

Well, so much for Spring in Kodiak! On the kids' last day of Spring Break we decided to do a little snow-shoeing at the local golf course, and as you can see- there was plenty of snow!
Laura and Emily decided to see if there really is a Troll under the bridge!

Grady, the Blue Abominable Snow-Baby

He got cold, and had more fun "driving" Dad's truck while the girls warmed up with some hot chocolate in the back.

Ahh, aren't we sweet?

Monkeys!

Another fun MWR event at the gym...Rock-wall climbing!
All 3 girls were brave enough to get strapped into the gear and try their hands (and feet!) at climbing ...and all 3 did great!

Girl Scout Cookies...Yum!

Many thanks to everyone who supported Laura and Emily by purchasing Girl Scout cookies this year. Together they sold over 60 boxes, most of which were generously earmarked for various Coast Guard deployments. Our sailors thank you!

Emily received a special treat when the XO of the CG Cutter Healy invited her for a tour of the ship after she delivered a big bag of Girl Scout cookies for them to take along on their next trip. What a huge ship!

We still have lots of cookies left, and plan to deliver the rest of them to the cutters that come into port here and to the ships who deploy from Kodiak in the coming weeks.
