Emily's first grade class has a "book buddy" program, where each weekend 2 lucky students get to take home the class bears, Patty and Patches. The kids are tasked with reading to their bear, taking it along with them wherever they go, and then journaling about all of their weekend adventures.
This Friday Emily was lucky enough to have her name drawn from the cup and came home, very excitedly, with Patty. Here is just a glimpse of our weekend with Patty:
