My birthday this year was such a treat! Yes, I turned 33 (not such a treat!), but my darling husband flew to Homer just to stop by my favorite potter's shop and pick up a couple of new pieces for me. What a nice surprise!
I also have to say, the birthday cards I received this year from my good friends in Traverse City and California are some of the funniest I've ever seen! Laura and Vicki, I sure do miss you!
I recieved a really spectacular gift this year, too, in sort of a round 'about kind of way.
My dear friend Melissa celebrates her birthday a day ahead of me, and her husband surprised her with a plane ticket to visit us here in Kodiak in May. Now, I personally don't like surprises, so Jerod....don't ever do that to me! But I'm super excited to have such a fabulous week to look forward to this spring, and I feel like the gift was really given to me. We can't wait to see you, Melissa!!!

First of all, I can't believe you titled this "OLD Mommy" at the ripe young age of 33. And secondly, I MISS YOU TOO!!!! Glad you enjoyed the card - thought it was perfect. Sounds like a great bday celebration. Hugs to all of you from California!
