For a long time now the girls have been asking to make sushi. They became interested in it after stopping at a restaurant in Homer and hearing a sweet waitress talk about the wonderful benefits of seaweed! I was pretty sure they wouldn't like it- definitely sure they would have nothing to do with raw fish- so we decided to make some at home rather than waste money going to a restaurant.
It turned out beautiful!
It tasted horrible!
I don't know if there are different kinds of nori out there or not, but Laura was exactly right when she said it tasted like fish food. Ick! I'm go glad we decided to try this experiment at home.
Brave Sarah (she didn't actually eat anything but the rice)
